Nearly four and a half months following the previous coach's initial media briefing as Rangers manager, his replacement Danny Rohl met with reporters at Rangers' stadium for the initial occasion.

The scale of the task ahead of him is widely recognized, considering Martin's turbulent and disappointing four-month spell.

The former Wednesday manager was accompanied by club chairman Andrew Cavenagh, along with the much-criticized pair of sporting director Thelwell and CEO Patrick Stewart.

However, what precisely was revealed from the young coach's first public appearance as the club's manager?

The Manager's Primary Focus - Victory is Everything

One thing came through loud and clear from Rohl's first appearance before the local press - he recognizes the need to win matches, and do so rapidly.

His predecessor Russell Martin lasted only 17 games and 123 days in charge, so the question arose about what timeframe Rohl believes is realistic to transform the struggling team.

While skillfully sidestepping a specific response that might create future pressure, Rohl's communication was very evident.

"Hopefully as soon as possible," he said. "This is essential.
"In this business you have limited time. One can talk about future plans but we know it concerns the short-term and the short-term is about securing victories. This is what I demand.
"One thing remains obvious - I require all players to comprehend how we want to play. I return to my main theme: victory comes first, entertaining football and it's together. By following this sequence, I believe that I will remain very long here."

Pressure is Standard

The previous manager needed security protection to leave the Falkirk Stadium after his last match as manager.

We've witnessed how toxic situations can turn at sports teams when performances decline. Protests have almost become a regular aspect of game day experience on both sides of the city these days.

As Rangers' youngest ever head coach, the inquiry was posed about which attributes Rohl believes he has that would allow him to handle, let alone thrive, in among the most pressurized positions in UK soccer?

"In my opinion expectations in football are standard," he commented. "One needs to understand that very quickly.
"I think some people might mention my youth but I have been a decade and a half in this career. I had an excellent opportunity to be at Bayern Munich and be just the assistant coach, but I felt what it means to be a head coach and the pressure involved.
"When you start getting results and then some critics claim you must produce entertaining soccer. That becomes the phase but that's exactly what I want. I relish that challenge and I look forward about what's ahead."

Thelwell Explains Chermiti Signing & Hiring Family Member

Kevin Thelwell media conference

There were plenty of inquiries from the media for Thelwell.

Much discussion has focused on the hiring of Robbie Thelwell as head of recruitment, with fans skeptical about his credentials for the position.

Nevertheless, he defended and clarified the decision to recruit his son to the club.

"It's always uncomfortable to hear and optically I think we all agreed when we took this step to hire Robbie that he would be viewed in a particular way," Thelwell said.
"The reality of circumstances is that we aim to bring the top talent to this club.
"My view on his professional path and background is he required no family help in soccer.
"He served at Villa as head scout, after which he moved to Norwich as scouting chief and then got promoted to player pathways manager.
"Before we hiring him, multiple top division teams sought to acquire him. Our approach from the start of proceedings was consult with Patrick, Andrew and deputy chairman Marathe about this matter.
"I was extremely open and I think he likely experienced a stricter procedure than anybody else who's employed by this football club.
"What I do know is that he will work constantly to achieve success for Rangers and I'm looking forward to him demonstrating that he's going to be an excellent employee for the club."

Thelwell also defended the acquisition of striker Chermiti, who arrived at Rangers for a reported first payment of eight million pounds, having failed to find the net in 24 games for Everton.

The sporting director who transferred the Portuguese youth international to Merseyside from Sporting Lisbon - again for significant money in a fifteen million pound deal.

The question came if he supports his multi-million pound purchase, who is yet to score in seven matches for Rangers.

"Absolutely, completely," Thelwell answered. "I believe the striker represents who's possesses huge potential.
"I haven't doubted him in any way. Similarly, I think Danny will help to get the best out of the player.
"It's very early days for the young player, he's a young talent and naturally with inexperienced players they sometimes take time.
"However, I'm convinced over the course of his time here he's going to prove that he is highly capable footballer."

The CEO Acknowledges Fan Frustration and Anger

The chief executive was in the media firing line, given the vitriol that has been aimed at him by some of the club's own supporters.

There was even a sign in the stadium during the last draw with Dundee United inviting Stewart - and the sporting director - to pack his bags before being removed for him.

Similar to the football director, Stewart didn't evade the topic.

"I totally understand the frustration and hurt that the supporters are experiencing because performances recently haven't met expectations and nobody's happy with those," he said.
"The pain and disappointment fans experience is matched within the boardroom.
"Also understand that there has to be a channel for those frustrations and in my role, I'm responsible.
"I serve as focal point for those and my role as a
