Multiple Injured as Rough Air Impacts A Delta Airlines Flight into Sydney, Australia

Delta Airlines reported the Airbus A350 encountered "momentary turbulence" as it landed at Sydney Airport.

A number of individuals sustained injuries after a Delta Airlines aircraft traveling from LA to Sydney encountered rough air Friday morning.

Delta Flight 41 "went through a short bout of rough air" as it landed at the Sydney airport, a representative for the carrier told. Four flight attendants sustained injuries.

The New South Wales Ambulance Service reported they assessed five patients, and took a trio to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries that such as back pain and head pain. The patients' ages were between their thirties and seventies.

It is the most recent case of commercial jets experiencing atmospheric disturbance, with aviation specialists indicating that shifting climate patterns is a key driver.

There were 245 passengers and a crew of 15 on the wide-body jet, the representative noted, stating that the plane landed "without further incident" at the airport at 06:48 local time on the day in question.

The reasons turbulence is becoming increasingly prevalent - and often stronger.
